Move Hacking for Dummies Part 1: Animation Splicing
#21
Aright so I finally got somewhere. I was really lost because there's a 4P converter in the zipped folder but it's not WldFb's 4P Move Converter. So I googled it and found it.

So far this is what I have....

Now I'm just having trouble understanding the Toki's and not sure if I'm doing it right & not sure where I go next lol.

EDIT: Ok found out the issues with Toki's. I'm using a older Hacking Starter Kit that I had before the updated one. At least now I know which one I can delete lol

You need to add movements to P2's animation.

You're also using the wrong toki tool. Use TKS's tool.

Do I need to also do codes for Player 1 because I only did them for Player 2 since I just wanted to change the Receivers part and didn't want to change the Execution.

If you just want to edit player 2's animation, then no, you don't need to edit player 1. Wink

Awesome to see you trying out hacking! It's a struggle at first, but stay with it. You'll love it.

Aright so making progress. I didn't use the 3rd TOKI yet because it just glitches like crazy.

But this is how it looks so far.

So any tips on the next step to do to put Eddie in the right position?

Is that where Toki 3 comes into play? [Image: kl6BIMJ.gif]

Don't worry about toki 3's. You've done everything correctly, this is going to require distance mods to fix.

I would either try another animation, or another hack or two before diving into distance mods.

From your code though, and the gif, I can say you have the right idea, and used them correctly.

Keep it up, man!
